The Memorandum of Understanding Signed in Paris, on July 6, 2001
The Black Sea GOOS MoU was signed by five Black Sea countries, namely
Bulgaria, Georgia, the Russian Federation, Turkey and Ukraine in July 6, 2001 in
Paris. Romania followed the others and signed the the MoU on October 22, 2001
at the IOC headquarters in Paris.

A modest celebration followed the signing the
MoU.

Romania Joined the Club
Romania followed the others and signed the the MoU on
October 22, 2001 at the IOC headquarters in Paris. This was a very important
event for the Black Sea region. With the addition Romania all the riparian countries
became members of the Black Sea GOOS
