Black Sea GOOS Secretariat:
Black Sea GOOS Secretariat established officially with the contract signed, Paris, December,11 2001

On December 11, 2001  Prof. Patricio Bernal, IOC UNESCO Executive Secretary and Prof. Ilkay Salihošlu, Executive Secretary of the Black Sea GOOS signed a protocol for the establishment of the Black Sea GOOS secretariat at the Institute of Marine Sciences METU (Erdemli).

ACTIVITY-FINANCING CONTRACT

Within the framework of IOC Global Ocean Observing System (GOOS) Development Programme in the Black Sea a financing contract , was signed by Executive Secretary of IOC/UNESCO, Dr. Patricio Bernal and Prof. Ilkay Salihošlu (Executive Secretary of the Black Sea GOOS) 10 December, 2001. The financing part of the contract is the contribution of UNESCO REGIONAL BUREAU FOR SCIENCE IN EUROPE (ROSTE) (Venice). The financial input is appreciated by all Black Sea GOOS members.
